Another version of an old design. Very pretty with the addition of pink.
Last year I won the National Best Wedding Cake Designer 2012 from The Wedding Industry Awards. It was a huge honour. You can read all about it here.
I spent a wonderful day at The Grand Palm Court in The Waldorf Hotel on Saturday. I was invited to display my cakes as part of their wedding open day to show off the newly refurbished Adelphi Ballroom. The Palm court is a fabulous 1920’s room, full of light and magnificent details. I’ve never been inside The Waldorf before, though I used to walk past it everyday on my way to work at Central St Martins, and was astounded at the beautiful interior. As I’m now their recommended wedding cake supplier, I should be seeing a lot more of it.
Silver Leaf Art Deco Wedding Cake.
Created for a Wedding Magazine photoshoot.
Our final Wedding Cake of the year. The tiny birds on the cake are covered with gold leaf. This wedding was in the amazing Middle Temple Hall, in the Temple area of London. Though I’ve lived in London all my life, I’ve never been there before, and it’s an amazing place. It’s like being in another version of London, lots of alleyways and buildings that remind me of Hogwarts. Well worth a visit if you’ve not been there before.
TopStroke Folks have just initiated a new charity project. It will happen very soon - around Christmas time.

A sneaky preview of one of the cakes I supplied for a very glamorous photoshoot for a national Style Magazine. I came up with these two new designs. The “Marie Antoinette” cake has 24carat edible gold leaf on it!
My cakes will be displayed alongside Laduree pastries and macarons, wow!
I’ll post the finished photos when they are published, but look out for it in the next few weeks.
